Peta protests to promote dog sterilisation

Inhumane methods of controlling animal population is not encouraged by many. A protest was held by the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) in India recently promoting animal birth control and anti-rabies vaccination programme.

The simple and most effective way to control rabies is not to kill stray dogs, but to implement an animal birth control (ABC) and anti-rabies vaccination (ARV) programme, say the People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), India.

In observance of the World Rabies Day, Peta activists protested in front of the Fergusson College, to spread the message, as a “dog” wearing a doctor’s coat and stethoscope held a placard that read “Prescription Against Rabies: Implement ABC and ARV”.
