Surgical sterilization of female dogs(Ovariohysterectomy) is a standard method of prevent estrus and unwanted offspring. Therefore it reduces contacts of animals, thus reduce the spreading of zoo noses and other diseases related to itself.
But use of chemical, for stop unwanted offspring is not a correct method in Sri Lankan situation. because it can not apply as a mass program. because this drug should be inject to the animal in specific phase of her reproductive cycle. Otherwise it will be end up with complication, most common is pyometra.
thank you.
scientific discussions really important to improve your programs
