Vesak will dawn on Thursday the 27. Roads will flourish with people visiting religious places and decorations. Hundreds of “Dansalas” (food donations) will be along roads to supply them food. Sterilization Programme stopped due to Bad Weather

Dog Sterilization Programme has been stopped temporarily in several areas of Kurunegala and Kegalle districts due to heavy downpours and flooding. Programme is to be resumed from the 1st of June if the weather condition improves.

It has been a decade since we got involved in dog sterilization programmes to eradicate rabies from Sri Lanka. We had lot of experience, not all were roses.
