Sterilization Programme at Open Prison Camp – Pallekale

Sterilized 43 dogs (38 females & 5 males) and vaccinated 87 dogs at Open Prison Camp – Pallekale on 24th July, 2010 for the third consecutive year. Dr. Udaya Wijewardhana conducted the programme. Kundasale MOH Dr. Chandra Jayantha visited for observation.

Minister visits to observe the ongoing programme

Sabaragamuwa Provincial Health Minister, Mr. Bhanu Munipriya visited to observe the ongoing programme at Mudduwa playground at Ratnapura Municipal Area with other health officials on 21st July, 2010. Dr. Kapila Kannangara (Provincial Director of Health), Dr. Panditharathna (Regional Epidemiologist) were also present. Dr. Ranil Kumarathissa organized the programme.

Rabies Awareness Seminar for Local Government Officials

As another step of establishing a proper Rabies Awareness Programme, we organized a seminar for Local Government Officials (Grama Niladhari and Samurdhi Officials) who belong to Kundasale Divisional Secretariat Office on 16th July, 2010. Sterilization and Teatment Camp – Kundasale

A Sterilization and Treatment Camp, the first step of making Kundasale MOH a rabies-free zone was held on 12th July, 2010 at Aluthwaththa, Kundasale. 61 dogs were sterilized.
